Head of Brand Marketing - TextNow Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Head of Marketing Salary: CAD $176,000 - $224,000 / USD $154,000 - $220,000 Job Overview TextNow seeks a Head of Brand Marketing to lead the company's presence across paid, earned, and owned channels. This leadership role reports to the Head of Marketing and involves direct management of a Social Media Specialist and Communications Manager. Key Responsibilities Lead Brand Platform Stewardship - Own and evolve brand positioning and messaging architecture. - Champion cultural platform rooted in autonomy, dignity, flexibility, and challenger brand energy. - Serve as primary steward of TextNow's brand narrative. - Partner with Product Marketing on storytelling alignment. Drive Integrated Campaign Leadership - Lead cross-channel brand campaign execution. - Define brand media channel strategy and investment approach. - Drive integrated planning across paid, earned, and owned channels. - Partner with Creative on distinctive look, feel, and voice. Build Cultural Relevance - Identify cultural moments, partnerships, creators, and archetypes. - Ensure cultural participation is credible and additive. - Show up meaningfully in audience spaces. Lead Agencies and External Partners - Manage creative, media, PR, influencer, and production partners. - Evaluate agency performance and evolve roster. - Drive briefs, deliverables, execution, and accountability. Strengthen Cross Functional Integration - Establish operating partnership with Creative Services. - Partner with Lifecycle Marketing, Product, Performance Marketing, Analytics, and Direct Sales. - Align brand messaging across departments. Own Measurement and Optimization - Operationalize brand measurement framework. - Define KPIs across awareness, trust, legitimacy, comprehension, usage lift, referral velocity, and CAC efficiency. - Drive post-launch analysis and optimization. - Evaluate brand investment on long-term growth impact. Manage Budget and Strategic Planning - Own brand budget across media, production, partnerships, and agencies. - Develop annual awareness strategy and investment roadmap. - Scale what works while maintaining discipline. Required Qualifications - 8-12+ years progressive experience in brand or integrated marketing with meaningful ownership. - Proven leadership building or scaling brand platforms in challenger, high-growth, or culturally relevant categories. - Demonstrated experience leading large-scale brand campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels. - Strong understanding of media strategy, channel role architecture, and full funnel integration. - Track record managing creative, media, PR, and influencer agencies. - Strategic thinking on how brand drives long-term growth and CAC efficiency. - Cultural fluency and capability to embed brands authentically within communities. - Strong cross-functional operator skills. - Experience in telecom, consumer technology, app-first, or subscription businesses (preferred).
